Eliminate audio ads that play automatically!

I used to keep WeatherUnderground open on my desktop at work all day, for quick reference. I can no longer do that, since you have audio ads that begin playing randomly. I work in an office--random blaring ads is unacceptable.

Weather.com and wunderground.com have BOTH become a joke with this obnoxious video blasting issue (in the middle of meetings, middle of sleeping, you name it). I have stopped using both online services. Evolution and the free-market take care of this in time. The only users that could accept this are those that don't really work (certainly not in a professional environment), and therefore really can't really contribute to the health of sponsors. This is a perfect classroom case of how bad decisions can ruin a company.

Other weather feeds will appear due to these blunders.

The tricky thing about this is that the ads change from visit to visit. To my knowledge, we don't approve most ads on an individual basis, but rather, they are delievered through a dynamic ad network. We need to stomp them out on an individual basis.

If there's an ad that auto-plays with audio, please submit a ticket with a screenshot, if possible. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screenshot)

Click on "Contact Support" at http://help.wunderground.com and you can create a ticket and attach an image through that form.

I have WU open today and an ad started playing. I couldn't shut it off. I'm among those that can't keep Wunderground open all day due to this issue.

I took a chance yesterday and left my wunderground window open, and didn't hear any of the ads start, so it looks like you guys were on top of the problem. I'm pleased to be able to use the site again :)

Two different video ads autostarting simultaneously with sound, several times a day and buried at the bottom of the page, has led me to stop leaving a wunderground window open. I miss it, but it was far too obnoxious. I'm not here anymore to spot the ads, so I can't report them. I only logged in now to give feedback about the issue... perhaps I will check back in a few weeks to see if the problem has been fixed.

I hate these, too.

By policy we don't allow ads on our site that play audio automatically. But, sometimes they sneak across the ad network we use. If you spot one, please report it by filing a ticket with our online support: help@wunderground.com

These should be banned across the internet!
