Allow more flexible selections for units (e.g. m/s, knots, etc.)
example: "In the UK, we use Celsius and mph as our main units for wind and temperature, but the options are Fahrenheit and mph, or Celsius and km/h. It would be good to have 'true' English units that are standard here in the UK."
World wide standard for sailors is Knots - mph and kph are for the normal old user, not us who own PWS's! ... please - give us the options!
I see wind speed is given in km/h in metric system.
Here in Norway we normally use m/s.
Would be great if it could be possible to specify this, not only the choise metric. This is for the PC/iPad/iphone versions.
In the UK, we use celcius and mph as our main units for wind and temperature, but the options are farenheit and mph, or Celsius and km/h. It would be good to have 'true' English units that are standard here in the UK.
I’ve merged some similar ideas — it sounds like the general consensus is that we should allow more flexible options for units. It needs to be more than just “English” or “metric.”
Also agree. I would much rather see my the wind speed in mph and have temp as celsius.

I would also really like to see this functionality. For a website this big I would have thought we wouldn't have to wait so long.
I suggest to always show both or have an option to show both. I liked and used the "Show both" option in your old site.
Well over two years and no sign of any changes.
Almost a year ago Angela said "it's on our high priority list, and it definitely will be done."
Any news yet, Angela?
I don't understand why this hasn't been fixed yet; degrees F and mph units are a dated North American weather unit combination no longer used by native English like myself for decades!
As other have said, any international weather site like this must support weather unit internationalisation, including nautical and aeronautical units, and custom unit profiles, otherwise it can look retarded.
I really support this request. Separate selections for temperature and wind speed are needed.
For example being a sailing type I normally use knots and centigrade and this is unavailable on the website so I have to mentally convert units all the time.
Would like to see a drop down or full settings menu allowing us to manually change speeds to MPH / KPH / M/S / KNOTS temperatures to Celsius / Fahrenheit. Would be nice if we could have an update from Angela or whoever is dealing with this.
Would really like the option for wind speed in knots
Come on, Wunderground, please get this sorted out.
The units aren't "English" they are Imperial and used in the UK. England is only part of the UK. So please acknowledge the rest of us in the UK. At the very lease we need Centigrade and miles per hour.

Everyone agrees that Wunderground as a worldwide provider of information gleaned from PWS is second to none! Otherwise they would not be here bemoaning those little things that annoy them. However I must agree that a drop down selection list for wind speed type - knots, m/sec, mph -; AND a drop down selection list for temperature - celcius, farenheit-; AND a drop down selection list for pressure type - millibars, etc - rather than a set selection will please an awful lot of your users (including me !). BTW i love the iPad app thanks for all the hard work.
Even WUNDERMAP shows wind in KNOTS ....come on people!! Voice up.
Come on guys.... geez. Its only a conversion option!! Wunderstation is brilliant, and allows a variety of options, but only available for IPAD ....not even iphone... PLEASE GET THE FEATURE ENABLED!!!
I can remember the chioce English, metric or both what a nice idea even have that chioce back
Yes, please add more functionality. This needs to also be tied to the daily email forecasts that are sent out. Currently, those units do not match my user settings.

Angela, could you give us a update for this feature. Will be much appreciated by all
Please add m/s as an option for wind speed!
Please add Meters Pr. Second.. We use that in the whole scandinavia. Comeon how hard can it be, please look a bit more far than your own english countries.

You definitely have to add m/s as an option on wind measurement....
