Make the photo selections match the weather information being looked up, or at least the area.
It's rather cruel to look up weather for a town, and be asked to look at photos for that town, only to see photos of, say, snow when you live in a place that never snows. Or a beautiful beach shot when it's 30 below outside.
Make the photos match what's being looked up. Sheesh.

Photos of animals and birds by a well known Photographer!
Well for most of us when you post a gallery of pictures, you put the science name below the picture and especially me, most times i dont have a clue what it is!! Is there anyway you can also put the name of bird or animals beside the science name so we can know exactly what we are looking at instead of guessing what it is! I'm not talking abt if it's a bird or a monkey, what I'm talking abt is, What is the simple name of it, in terms we understand! How can we help if we don't…

Pictures taken while driving
I find it funny that Wunderground will offer "Winter Driving Tips" on the website, yet will continue to post pictures that people have obviously taken while driving, and on some rather snowy/icy roads. It's probably not the best idea, and dangerous.. Why continue to encourage people to do this practice by posting their pictures?

Stop Photo Redundancy
I wish there was some way to extract the AC & VIP awarded photos from their original galleries to eliminate the redundancy and provide our viewers with more photos to appreciate.

Change photo/PWS association settings
Today I decided to put an existing photo of my station on my station then found out you can only do this when uploading a new photo instead of modifying an existing photo which sucks because the process to upload a new photo can be a bit troublesome sometimes. Please include a modification option to associate an existing photo with a PWS.

Ability to Preview Uploaded Photos
I would love to be able to click on a photo I've just uploaded in order to see how it will look on the wunderground site before I send it for approval. So often my photo looks very different on my computer than it does on the site. The colors and brightness are often very different when the photo is on the site. I'd like to compensate for that before I submit it, so that it more closely represents what I see.

Extend Posting Time For "Current" Photos From 7 Days To 10 days
Extend the time we have to post a photo from 7 days to at least 10 days and possibly even 14 days....and still be displayed in the current galleries. This would allow time for people, especially those returning from vacations, to share their photos. We all know that archived photos rarely get any attention, so submitting them after the 7 days is usually a wasted effort. Even if the time limit was extended to 10 days, it would help a lot.

AC's should rotate through gallery not be defined by date as some are already 5 or 6 days old when nominated
Some photos are AC selections after a trip and are already several days old based on the seven day rule. They should move through the gallery in sequence and not by date taken.

Ratings should be optional (turn on or off) just like the Comments
By allowing the uploader to be able to turn on and off the ratings. just like Comments, seems like the best solution to please the most. People who don’t like ratings can simply turn them off.

Change Mobile Upload Gallery to a Photo of the Day Gallery
Here's an idea! Maybe the Mobile gallery could be absorbed by the weather and outdoor gallery since mobile cameras are as good or better than regular cameras and it could be replaced with a PHOTO OF THE DAY gallery where one outdoor and one weather shot makes photo of the day based on the most votes from the webviewers. The weekly Photos of the Day could be displayed in there.

Numbering needs to go,comments are a far better way...
Let's try this again I said do away with the numbering 1-10 of the
pictures. Go to comments only, why, simple there are a few folks
who enjoy giving a zinger to an outstanding picture. Though they are few in numbers they mess up some really good pictures. With the
comment your name is there thus no zingers and it evens things
out and feelings are not stepped on.I post on another site called
http://www.k9zooms.com/ it's a totally fun side and the comments
add to it. this last week she had hackers take her site down hence
the new name. Zinger throwers…9 votes -
Frame WV and VIP photos
The AC's stand out in our personal galleries. It is a shame the vip & wv photos get lost in our own galleries.

Replace Approvers' Choices with Members' Choices
There has been discussion recently on the rating system, and this is currently under review. Let us also consider ACs.
ACs probably generate more comments per image on average than non ACs.
Sometimes another image in a series will generate higher scoring from members than an AC in the series.
Many members, and I am purely guessing here, look at and comment on the AC gallery and ignore the weather and outdoor galleries. As a result, many excellent photos may be totally ignored.
There is, amongst some members, a conception that approvers give preference to the posts of other approvers.

Expand the Galleries
I have seen a number of comments that the galleries are clearing out very quickly. As the galleries show only 100 of the most recent images each, and there are - say - 400 images a day loaded, there will only be about 50% of the last 24 hours uploadings showing in the galleries.
Would it be possible to have the galleries displaying all images approved in the previous 24 hours. The 24 hour time frame would be constantly refreshing the galleries. That way, keen viewers should not miss anything.

Add a temporary gallery for Photoshoot Events
When there is a gathering of WunderPhotographers, such as the present Gold Beach event, it would be great to have a gallery available for the 7 days following the close of the event where photos from it could be loaded. It would make finding them so much easier to have them gathered all in one place.
