The satellite animation is really poor and annoying. Compare it with the satellite animation available on the US map on the Wunderground opening page, which, despite the inability to zoom in beyond a region, is far better. Even the NWS website or ForeFlight have much better satellite apps.
Problems: 1) Can't save time interval. Despite selecting 4 or 2 hours in the Animation box, "Save Prefs" won't save it. It reverts back to "custom."
2) Visible and IR: The animation switches from several IR images to one visible image, even though several visible images should have been available ( at 9AM local). You can't "force" only visible images as you used to, as that option gets crossed out. The regional "Clouds" animation shows excellent visible images.

Sadly, you turned a great Wundermap feature into an unusable mess. Recently you told me that satellite images were only available hourly, but they are actually available at least every 15 minutes, and that was what the old Wundermap showed - and what is displayed on the US map on the opeining page. And yes, I've read the FAQs and saw the video. It's not what I'm doing, it's a crappy app.

My God, how many negative comments do you people need to at least offer the old WunderMap as an option? Why even have a "Forum". The new map takes forever to load, never loads completely, is sluggish and terribly slow. The "new" animation does not work correctly........EVER!! When an attempt is made to improve something that is already brilliant, shouldn't the newer version be an actual improvement or at least as good as the original? Well, it's not. It's like the Boss said, "Geez Jeff, the old map is just too perfect. Your job is to screw around with it, make it difficult to load and use, and make sure the vast majority of our viewers really, truly hate it. Then, create a WunderMap forum, review all the negative comments, and finally, DO NOTHING....just keep working on the "New Map," until we have but a handful of people using our site." That's quite a business plan, fellas. Was that strategy taught at the business school you attended? I haven't seen anything quite like it on the Web. Maybe you could write, in this forum, a few reasons why the old map had to be changed. I would really like to know why you decided that it needed improvement...please...explain this.....please. Thank you.

I have at times started the radar and panned out to contnent view and most of the times several stations would appear for the whole country. But a few times, I haved panned out and there are "hundreds" of stations that appear and cover the whole country. The neat thing about this is the colors give you a great view of the temp contrast across the whole country. Is this just a glitch or am I doing something that will give this view without knowing it? If not a glitch, how do I get this view anytime I want. If it is a glitch, can this view be incorporated into wundermap?
