either get rid of that time line thing or give me the option of just the last 5 or 6 hours.
i dont care what it did 2 days ago and you cant predict what it's going to do 5 days from now. the last gereration software worked just beautiful. please give me the option to go back
Thanks for your patience.
We’ve just added new animation period presets of 1, 2, 4, and 8 hours to the Animation dialog — no need to use the timeline for these!
For instance, to animate the previous two hours, open the animation dialog, choose “Past 2 Hours” and press the play button.

Unsolicited call for feedback: I'd like to have video chats (skype or google+) with WunderMap users so we can talk about particular issues you're having with the map. (Video so you can share your screen and show me examples of trouble spots in the product).
If you can spare a half hour next week (May 13-17) during the daytime send me an email directly and we'll set up a time: schaefer@wunderground.com
Alternatively, if you can't do it next week but want to be able to participate in the near future, send me a note as well!
Thanks for your help. Sorry for multiple postings...

Well said Condor46! I use it for the same reasons and inconjunction with CoCoRaHS for the bigger and heavier storms.

i sure don't want to leave the impression that i don't like the effort put into this "improvement". wunderground is the best radar site going, but as a ARES/Skywarn operator i need to see what is going on NOW. it is nice to be able to go back a ways, but i think they got a little carried away. in storm spotting, that future track thing could get one in trouble thinking you looking at real time. i depend on this radar a lot and appreciate it very much, so how ever this ends up, thanks guys for the effort

The old radar was way better. This one is too fast and jittery (with smoothing on) and confusing.
The ability to "radar forecast" is nice though; maybe should be a separate command.

137 votes for a "put it back" on a huge upgrade to a system that was great, but needed an update bad.... I am just a bit confused as to peoples complaining... I use wundermap at work, on IE8, the worst possible option, and I still find it an improvement. We have time controls, (they fixed the last two days thing), and improved layer controls. You can see backwards and forwards... I saw one post where people mocked the radar forecasting system. My favorite website gets an upgrade... and people seem ungrateful, almost offended that they would dare push the status quo. I love wunderground, I love the pushing of the envelope with new stuff. The simplest app services here rival that of the (so called) "Weather Channel" on tv. I mean, we are talking about one of the few (only maybe?) services around that has it's own software and (somewhat borrowed) network of sensors for predicting weather. This idea is a "put it back" one, because you can do to much with the software. The software was attacked because it could do more then an animated gif could. I added a picture to my username so you could see who "elynema" is, and I used sarcasm to defend my favorite website from verbal attack. (end of rant) thank you, and have a great day.

I'm not sure who you are "elynema", but using sarcasm during commenting does not add anything to the discussion.

I like the new software, it's a great upgrade. I was watching TV the other night, The Weather Channel was on... they only did a one hour loop. I knew then that wunderground had spoiled me. If you really want to go back to how it was, go to http://classic.wunderground.com/wundermap/ and experience the 90s and early 00s again. Personally I enjoy the future of weather.

I thought the last version of the software was quite adequate. Can we go back?

It's totally amazing to me that you have radar that can see into the future. Have you considered marketing that to the Military and the Police? Maybe Border Patrol.
