How about giving us the choice of the new Wundermap or the old one?
After carefully considering this idea, we’ve decided to support only the current WunderMap going forward. It’s clear from your feedback that there are important issues we need to address. We are focusing our efforts on improving the existing map and addressing the particular concerns everyone has raised.

I tried the new map... It stinks. Went over to Classic and used that. Now you've taken that away from us old timers (remember us?. We're the ones called 'paid subscribers'). I'm voting with my pocketbook. Bye...

I've also noticed that this downgrade to the "new" wunderground costs twice the original subscription price.
Less product for more money? Typical these days.
Time to look for something better I guess. Considering the "new" wunderground, that shouldn't be too difficult! -

Shouldn't be an IDEA Gilligan. We should have a choice between accepting the new or the one......Lead this interaction schaefer; I have used this site since the mid 2000's. I pay a fee and did support the original concept and format and have done so for years. All I see here is more corporate bs. I hate the weather channel and their stiffs. Since this crock is now owned by twc, and you launched (forced on us) a turd wundermap you've lost my business and respect. noaa is fine, no drama and no fees!! click......

Thank you for the recent update, yes it is looking more like the old animation...
I could used to sit here and watch the Vortex icons and the time cones and direction
as storms were approaching... I felt more in control with being in a tornado prone area
having that control of being able to predict. There is no telling how many people depended
on Wunderground sitting up late at night while the rest of the family could rest. I could get them up if we had a serious storm approaching.. This is why so many people are upset with the
new improved version. It so far has left us out in the "rain". -
@cepe, do you think this suggestion matches your concern?
If it doesn't, it'd be great if you could create a new suggestion specifically for this issue. I've noticed some flickering too.
Thank you

@hatman, have you had a chance to try today's updates to the default animation? Loading the map and pressing the play button will animate the most recent radar and will continuously update to always show the most recent animation.

Since you ruined the old animation map I cannot now follow the approaching storms with any confidence so I'll not be renewing my subscription. You ruined a good format.

Well that pretty much cements it. Goodbye Wunderground you had a great product while it lasted.

I find this new version a downgrade. I don't know if anyone else has this problem but if i attempt to animate the radar alongside the weather station overlay it doesn't work - the weather station icons flicker and the page never fully loads.

Thanks for your thoughts.
You mention several important issues. I recommend that you consider voting for these items:

'Tis hard to improve on something that works very well to begin with and which one is familiar with. IMO a little streamlining to improve simplicity and performance is all that would have been necessary. This remake seems to be slower and more complex than the previous version. A choice sounds good here: Wundermap classic or Wundermap improved. Yahoo offered this option when they updated their email service.

Totally agree. I really miss not having the old Wundermap. The new Wundrmap has graphic display flaws and the animation is not always pleasing. The oold Wundermap was much easier to use and view, especially the radar loop. Although useful for meterorologists, I suppose, I personally do not care about radar history earlier than 2 hours at the most. PLEASE give us a choice which Wundermap to view.
