The question all of paying member of Weather Underground are asking is that why did you change the wundermap that everyone used and enjoyed? If you would just put back the controls to manage the timeline of the radar images we would be ok. But no you ask for our feedback and we get silence in return. I'm now reduced to using the app on my phone, which hasn't changed. I have raved about this site since I first discovered it years ago. The Wundermap was icing on the cake, but someone left the cake out in the rain or something. It's now virtually useless -not even a beta - more like a worse. Seriously, virtually all the clever and useful aspects of thisservice have gone. The timeline is ridiculous; there's no navigation back to the forecast page ; the timeline adjustment jiggles around and there's no simple look back a half hour or so to predict the weather pattern.

You folks need to remember the KISS Principal. The New map is NOT user friendly and all the gimmick and sponsor listings just detracts from using the Maps. The Old map was perfect! Change just to change is not necessary and a lot of us users out here are upset with this new Map and are using other Maps now.

Go back to the old version. This WAS NOT an improvement. Make a short time loop the default and bury the timebar in a submenu for those who want to play. Give me back control of the frame speed. Continue to let me see storm tracks during animation. In all honesty, i doubt that you will ever tweak this downgrade back to a version as good as the old one.

The new and "improved" version is horrible: there are shockingly huge gaps in the data, the legends for warnings and watches are gone altogether. You people clearly never bothered to test this before rolling it out since, had you tested it, you would have noticed that it does not work at all.

What used to be, the best weather tracking system on the web; is now a useless load of graphical garbage. I have requested all of my users to remove this junk from their PC's immediately. We are now activly looking for another site to use for the tracking of our daily weather.
It's OK to use the public for Beta Testing; but never at the expense of removing the working versions. Poor Planning on your part.

The one reason I purchased a membership was the fact this had the best features, the best maps (which stayed up to date constantly), and I could customize all features to meet my needs/ interests. Now I can't watch a storm track with out having to mess with the animation feature on the tool bar. I don't get data at the speed which I used to. And these are just 2 things that annoy me. I loved the fact that this site was like no other site. Now I can't stand it. I look at the Weather Channel more than I ever have. I don't like that but I know I will get info I need - even if it is crappy.
The best improvement, in my opinion, it to take this map back to the way it was. This site really stood out from all the others. Now it's just another place to attempt to figure out.

Go to TWC weather .com their time line is great, but they dont have the bells and whistle you guy do.Their our a lot of ham operators that use you weather and our flustrated,because of the changes. bottom dates needs onl to be todays date all people are worry about is todays weather, get this fixed and you might get more of us back using your weather map, we had a storm her yesterday, Ihad to use TWC Weather map it work ok. we do weather nets every day and turn the into memphis nws 8:00pm every nite and i need a good map ,with my weather station,write now yours is not go back to old one or fix the promblem that i mention, you will lose alot of subcribers, talking to outhers. thanks

We’re implementing several of the requests, including improving the speed of the radar animations, detecting local time zone rather than defaulting to GMT, and improving the animation controls and layout. Other requests and concerns will be addressed, but may take some time.

I found wundermap shortly before the change and was happy with the way it worked. Now the animation is slow and unpredictable. Specifying time ranges used to be intuitive, but now it's all but useless. This is exactly what I expected when I heard that TWC had acquired it. You've taken what was a useful product and ruined it completely.

Unsolicited call for feedback: I'd like to have video chats (skype or google+) with WunderMap users so we can talk about particular issues you're having with the map. (Video so you can share your screen and show me examples of trouble spots in the product).
If you can spare a half hour next week (May 13-17) during the daytime send me an email directly and we'll set up a time: schaefer@wunderground.com

How do I interpret Model Data (MSL maps) precipitation ? I think I read somewhere (not sure where) that odd number hours means predicted precipitation in the next 3 hours and the even hours are the accumulated precipitation for the past 6 hours. Is this correct? My suggestion is to make this sort of information available via the tool.

Sorry - the new Wundermap is USELESS to me. Weather Underground used to be the best weather site. I used Wundermap ALL the time - and it was great! It had all the info I needed. The new map is really bad. The animation feature?? Ha! I'll stick to the National Weather Service.

Never mind all the new data. Go back to what was the best weather site on the internet. You keep messing with it and it doesn't get better. I relied on the old map for updates on severe weather which we have here in Florida. I am a paid member of Underground for many years. Just admit that you are unable to make it better. So, get with the program and put it back the way it was.

The best weather map now is located at http://www.intellicast.com/Local/WxMapFullLegacy.aspx In fact, it is better than the old Map used by Weatherunderground before the Weather Chanel moved their standard layout onto this map. The Internet is a great tool for all of us interested in local and area weather, however, the Weather Chanel has forever destroyed the Underground format. Sad, but true.

bad developers typically announce to their bosses -- before major rollouts of public software -- that they should expect a deluge of initial complaints and bad reviews, and that they should pay no attention to this phenomenon.
this always happens -- they claim -- for two major reasons: one, people are just resistant to change, and two, people usually only bother to post negative comments and not positive ones.
attention bosses: that's what's known as a TOTAL LIE. it's a hedge against incompetence. the new map really does suck. true improvements don't generate blowback like this. you are LOSING CUSTOMERS. I'd say "please put it back the way it was," but it's clear you've already sold advertising against this new ridiculousness, so here's my face-saving plea for you: please find a way to integrate your new advertising into the old display scheme. you've already wasted your money paying whoever developed the new version; I beg you not to throw good money after bad.
